Our Story

The French word "Beurre" (very close to "brrr" as in "brrr, I'm cold!") translates to "butter", or as I know it: the meaning of life. 

Butter and baking have always held a special place in my heart and I developed a whole new appreciation for them after becoming French-trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. The concept of Beurre Pastry Shop began in 2013 while I worked at other food businesses, and it finally became a reality in 2015 with a small menu featuring Bars & Brownies, Cookies, and Palmiers.

I began vending at local farmers’ markets and that gave me the ability to expand into breakfast treats, initially Scones, Quiche, and our best selling Cinnamon Rolls. You’ll now also find Loaves and Muffins, as well as a variety of other seasonal specials and gift boxes.

2020 saw two big additions: the first was weekly video recipes in our Beurre Bake-Alongs. Fifty-two bake-alongs exist, one for every week of the year. I got to personally know so many bakers and customers during this time. Baking with you brought me so much joy! All recipes can still be found on the site and all videos will remain on YouTube.

 

In 2020 we also shifted from farmers’ markets to our monthly/seasonal subscription boxes – each box is themed and includes exclusive new Beurre items with every box. These Beurre Boxes have become my favorite part of Beurre Pastry Shop, combining my love for developing new products and my desire to showcase my current favorites. Each month, something new!

We have continued our local deliveries and nationwide shipments, all of which can be ordered through our online system.
